York Maine Photographer

York Maine is a quaint town with cute little shops, arcades and quiet beaches. The beautiful coastline provides cliff walks with views of an authentic Maine lighthouse. What I love about the York beaches are the cliffs and rocks you see along the coastline as well as how private and quiet the beaches are. It makes it especially nice to photograph at because there is space and room for me to photograph families and more. If you are wanting to see a beach with a lighthouse then check out Cape Neddick Nubble Lighthouse for a breathtaking view. While the lighthouse and grounds aren’t open to the public, you can view and snap a photo of it from Sohier Park on the mainland—there’s even a small gift shop for souvenirs. Below is a maternity photoshoot that took place in York Maine. I am always on the look out for locations with greenery, rocks and of course coast line!

When my client and I got to the beach I looked around and saw the greenery with wild flowers and thought how lovely the variety would be to add into the gallery for my client. The grey/blue crochet outfit contrasted really well against the yellow wildflowers. I then had her carefully walk out to the cliffs/rocks (I asked her several times if she felt safe to do so and she did) There we took photos of her overlooking the beach while holding her belly and thinking about the day she meets her little one. She is finding out the gender at birth! How exciting it is to document a mother to be during the summer months in York Maine.
